Myrtle Pierce, 82, died Friday, Jan. 8, 1993, at Care West Inter-Community Convalescent Hospital in Norwalk, Calif.


Born Oct. 3, 1910, in Downs to Andrew and Ida Lawson, she married Harold R. Pierce on June 3, 1925, in St. Louis. He died in December 1968. One son, Roland, one brother and three sisters also preceded her in death.


Surviving are one son, the Rev. Harold J., and one sister, Dorothy Wilson of Bloomington.


She was a sales clerk in several women's clothing stores in the Peoria area.


Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens.
