Larry D Sundquist enlisted in the Army on December 6, 1949 at the age of 17. He was a Private 1st Class in Company 'L'; 7th Calvary Regiment, 1st Calvary Division.

He was killed in action while fighting the enemy in North Korean Sector on December 1, 1950 at the age of 18.

Private 1st Class Sundquist was awarded the Purple Heart, the Combat Infantryman's Badge, The Korean Service Medal, the United States Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Presidential Unit Citation and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal.
