John Louis Pelletier, age 89 years, passed away February 17, 2017 at the Bay Medical Care Facility. He was born on August 25, 1927 in Bay City, the son of the late Nelson and Leona Pelletier. John was a veteran of WWII, serving in the U.S. Navy. He was also a member of the Sheet Metal Workers Local 7.

Surviving family include his special companion, Ann Owen; children, Bruce (Gwen) Pelletier, Sue (Jerry) Lane, Dave Pelletier, Kevin (Kendra) Pelletier, Kelly Grover, Kirk (Dwight) Pelletier, Kristy Pelletier, Marnie (Lee) Harding and Antonio Estacio; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Also surviving are his sisters, Maryann Noonan and Pat Casey.

John was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Eleanor, Betty, William, Louis and Nelson Jr.

A memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, March 6, 2017 at the Penzien-Steele Funeral Home. The family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Private interment will be at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly. Those desiring may make contributions to the Alzheimer's Association.
