Earl F. Turner, 73, of Rutland, died Saturday, March 18, 2017, at Rutland Regional Medical Center, following a brief illness. He was born Nov. 15, 1943, in Rutland, the son of Marion (Foster) and Earl Turner Sr.

He graduated from Rutland High School.

He served in the U.S. Army until his discharge in 1966.

Mr. Turner was employed by the state Agency of Transportation for 33 years prior to retiring.

He was a former member of the American Legion and enjoyed snowmobiling, NASCAR, wrestling, hunting, camping, and woodworking.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia (LeBlanc) Turner, of Rutland; two daughters, Charlene Williams, of Rutland, and Shari Homuth, of Windsor Locks, Connecticut; four stepchildren, Deborah Weatherby, of Clinton, Massachusetts, Bill, Stephen, and David Noel, all of Rutland; a sister, Carol Johnson, of Vernon; several grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his first wife, Maureen (Rowe) Turner, in 2002 and a daughter, Linda Murphy, in 2000.

Calling hours will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, March 23, at Aldous Funeral Home, 44 North Main St., Rutland. The memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 24, at the funeral home, followed by a reception.

Burial with military honors will be at a later date in East Clarendon Cemetery.
