Margaret's parents were Edward Gardner (1855-1922) and Mary nee Race Gardner (1857-1941). The family arrived in Australia on the 7th of November 1881 in Sydney. The ship name was the Northampton. She arrived with her parents and brother John, age 2, after a 140 day voyage.
The family was from Hetton le Hole, then County Durham, England. She married Charles Bunn in 1900, Newcastle, New South Wales.
