Bobby Jack Hambric, 87, of Abilene passed away at a local nursing home on Tuesday, April 11, 2017.

Funeral services will be 11:00a.m., Saturday, April 15, 2017 at Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home Chapel of Faith, 5701 Hwy 277 South with burial following in Elmwood Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday evening from 6:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. at the funeral home.

Jack was born on September 4, 1929 in Brownwood, TX to the late Floyd and Nellie Hambric.

He served in the U.S. Navy from 1952 - 1956 and retired as a machinist from Abilene Reporter News.

Jack was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

Preceding him in death were his father, Floyd Hambric; his mother, Nellie Hambric Bien; stepfather, Odie Bien; and sister, Louise Bien.

Survivors include his wife of many years, Norma Hambric of Abilene; brother, Ronnie Bien of Colorado; daughters, Fredda Jones of Houston, Jamie Hambric-Rogers, Nancy Lopez, and Terry Hambric all of Abilene, and their mother, Iva Ruth Dove of Houston; stepdaughters, Linda Royall of Tulsa, OK, and Karen Haile of Clyde; stepson, David Royall and wife, Sharon of Odessa; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
