Claude A. Wagner

Claude A. Wagner, of Hanover, died February 28, 1997, at York County Nursing Home. He was 84.
Mr. Wagner retired from Bethlehem Steel Carpenters Union after more than 30 years of service. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Hanover. He was a member of McSherrystown Loyal Order of the Moose.
Born in Hanover, August 10, 1912, he was a son of the late William H. and Tursie Bixler Wagner. He was the husband of the late Helen Marshall Wagner.
He leaves five daughters, Janet Fogle and Dawn M. Small, both of Hanover, Dorothy Lookingbill, Taneytown, Md., Polly Morningstar, Manchester, Md., and Linda L. Wagner, Pittsburgh; a son, Stanley A. Wagner, New Oxford; 22 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; two sisters, Ruthanna Palmer and Velma Herman Travis, both of York; and a brother, Robert E. Wagner, Hanover.
Two sons, Claude A. Wagner Jr. and Kenneth E. Wagner, are deceased.
Visitation is tomorrow evening at Kenworthy Funeral Home Inc., 269 Frederick St., Hanover. The service is at 9 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Scott Brown and the Rev. Dwight Eldeen officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
