Born in Akron Ohio, he was a resident of Delaware, Ohio for two decades. He later moved to Cleveland, TN in 1961 where he worked at the Hardwick Stove Co. and pioneered the microwave oven before retiring in 1984.
He was a veteran of the US Navy and a member of St. Therese's Catholic Church where memorial services were held on 2 June 2007 at 11am.
