When Bryan William Edmund's was born in 1895 in Aaronsburg, Centre County Pennsylvania, his father, Benjamin Franklin Edmund's was 36,and his mother, Ada Christine Wilken's or Warren was 20. He had four brothers and five sisters. He was the first born and was 28 years older than the last born sibling ( my mother Betty). Bryan moved to Akron Ohio and joined the Army at age 21 from 1916-1919 in W.W.I. 37th (Buckeye) division for service on the Mexican Border also in Belgium and France. He was part of the Meuse-Argonne Offensive. Defensive Sector (American Expeditionary) Wounded slightly in 28 Sept 1918. He was honorably discharged in 1919. His positions were Private first class, then mechanic, and in 1918 Supply Sergeant. He relocated back to Millheim Pa after the service. Bryan married Mary Edna Hiney on April 15th 1922, he was 27 years old. They had one child a daughter named Gloria June in 1925. He rejoined the Army in 1946 for W.W.II. he was 46 years old. His daughter Gloria was 11 years old at the time. When Bryan was discharged he worked for the Pennsylvania Railroad for 1 1/2 years in Renovo Pa. He moved to Williamsport and spent 31 years at the J.K. Mosser Tannery in Gleasonton, Clinton County Pa., which changed names twice to the "Armour Leather Co" and finally The "Snyder Tank Co". Bryan retired after 31 years in 1960. Bryan belonged to the First United Methodist Church in Renovo. Bryan died on November 28, 1972, in North Bend, Pennsylvania, at the age of 76 after nine years of failing health. He was buried in Lock Haven, Pennsylvania at the Rest Haven Memorial Park.
