Andrew W. Keegan III of New London, PA

Andrew W. Keegan III passed peacefully at home on Monday, May 29, 2017, at the age of 83. Mr. Keegan, born in Delaware County on December 3, 1933, was preceded in death by his wife, Elaine Evans Keegan, father, Andrew W. Keegan, Jr., his mother, Blanche Brobst Keegan Robertson.

He is survived by 4 children, Andrew IV, Nancy Joy Wolfe, Robin and John; 2 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren; 4 sisters and 1 brother.

Andy graduated from Ridley High School and worked in telecommunications for Bell Telephone, now Verizon. Upon retiring in 1989, he realized his dream of living on a small farm complete with a variety of animals. He moved him and his family to New London, where he fulfilled his dream. Andy was also a member of Beulah Baptist Church, the Jennersville YMCA, and the Norwood Fire Company. He also worked at the Plumpton Park Zoo.

Andy especially enjoyed spending time with his family and hanging out with friends. He had a keen knack for mechanics and a love of woodworking, archery, hunting, fishing, baseball, trains, antique cars/trucks, flying, travels to Alaska, Maine, and Canada, and of course, farming.

Services are going to be held at Beulah Baptist Church in Oxford on Saturday, June 17th at 6pm.

The family would like to thank Willow Tree Hospice and all of those who reached out for their loving care and support.

Andy donated his body to the Pennsylvania Human Gifts Registry for medical research and education of health care professionals. Memorial contributions may be made to the Andrew Keegan Grandchildren Memorial Fund, c/o Sun East Federal Credit Union, PO Box 2231, Aston, PA 19014.
