Shelley was the beautiful daughter of William Cody Winter and Thelma Faye Eaton of San Antonio, Bexar County Texas. Shelley was married to Gregg Allman,from 1971-1972. Greg was co-founder the the Allman Brothers Band. Gregg fathered Shelley's son, Devon Lane Allman,also a great musician. Devon gave Gregg and Shelley a grandson named Orion Allman.
Devon and Orion were living in St Louis, Missouri at the time of Shelley's death.
Shelley later married Duane R Jefts in 1982 in Nueces Texas.Together they had a daughter Katy Lauren Jefts.
