Police Officer, Matthew Baxter, age 27, succumbed to his injuries Friday, August 18, 2017. His partner, Sgt. Richard 'Sam' Howard passed away Saturday, August 19, 2017.
Officer Baxter served with the Kissimmee Police Department for three years.
He is survived by his wife Sadia who is a detective, also with Kissimmee Police Department, and four daughters, ranging in age from 7 years to 7 months.
A prayer vigil will be held at The Hope Mission Church, 1431 Palmway Street, at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, August 20, 2017. The church is at the intersection where the Kissimmee officers were gunned down.
The City of Kissimmee has set up an account with SunTrust Bank for people interested in donating to the officer's families.
Donors can go to any SunTrust location beginning Monday to contribute.
