She graduated from Episcopal High School in Baton Rouge in 1976 and received her BA from Louisiana State University in 1980 and her MSW from LSU. As a social worker, she passionately cared for people of all ages in the communities where she lived during the past 35 years.
She returned to her beloved St. Francisville in 2014, where she has held the position of Social Worker at Angola, Louisiana State Penitentiary. Roberta lived life by sharing her enormous heart and humor with the people she loved. Her family and friends will lovingly remember her loyalty and tremendous capacity to love.
She is survived by her brother Emmette Barrow and his wife, Emily, and her two nieces and nephew. She is also survived by her lifetime partner, Debbie Garrould; Debbie's daughter, Robbie Terral and her husband, Jessie; and three grandsons.
Visitation will be at Grace Episcopal Church in St. Francisville with Requiem Eucharist conducted by Fr. Roman Roldan. Burial will be in Grace Episcopal Church Cemetery, St. Francisville.
