John Allen, 82, of 231 South
Main Street, a retired Garfield
Road farmer, died at 2:30 P. M.
yesterday in Jamestown General
Hospital. Born in Ireland on May
19, 1865, he came to this country
at the age of 17. He operated a
farm on the Garfield Road near
Forest Avenue until eight years
ago. Surviving are a son, Paul
Allen of Niobe; and daughter, Mrs.
Alice Bodamar, Youngstown O.,
and two sisters. The remains
are at the Powers Funeral Home,
where the funeral services will be
conducted at 1:30 P.M. tomorrow
by Rev. C. Norton Warner. In-
terment will be in Lake View
Cemetery.
