Daun graduated from Oneonta High School in 1977. She attended Snead State Junior College from 1977 to 1978 and then the University of Montevallo from 1978 to 1981 graduating with a Bachelors of Social Work degree. Daun worked for The American Red Cross for many years and then with the Jefferson County Housing Authority for 17 years. Daun was currently employed with the Blount County Department of Human Resources as Clerical Staff Supervisor and Financial Officer. She was dearly loved by her co-workers and will be greatly missed. Daun absolutely loved her job and work family. Daun was the loving and godly wife of Don Aaron for eleven years. She was the dedicated mother of two daughters, Michella and Abbye and son Chris, whom she loved with all her heart. Daun was a faithful Christian servant of God. Her passion was serving her Lord through music. She played the piano beautifully with grace and love. She was currently serving as pianist at Olive Grove Congregational Methodist Church in Mount Olive. She was involved in the choir at Lester Memorial United Methodist Church Oneonta, recently assisted Trinity Baptist Church in the Nectar community for three years and earlier served as minister of music at Gardendale Church of the Nazarene for 29 years. Daun faithfully served God by living a life that magnified her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She is now serving The Lord in Heavens Choir! Daun's favorite colors were orange and blue! She loved her Auburn Tigers! Services to celebrate her life will be held at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel, Gardendale, Alabama, on Sunday, December 17, 2017. A visitation will begin at 12:30pm; funeral service at 3:00pm followed by her burial in Oakwood Memorial Gardens, Gardendale, Alabama.
