Douglas S. Anthony, 51, of Allentown New Jersey, passed away Monday, August 1, 2016. Born in Paterson NJ, he graduated from Butler High School in Butler, NJ and attended Nyack College in NY and later went to work for PSE&G where he has been employed for nearly 30 years. In 1998, Doug and his wife moved to Allentown and became very active in the community. A member of Allentown Presbyterian Church, he served as a Crossroads Youth Leader, was a Board Member on the Upper Freehold Reg School District and was involved with Allentown Boy Scouts, Troop 180. He loved nature and enjoyed being outdoors but above all, Doug loved his family, including his beloved German Shepard, "Charlie Girl". He was a caring and devoted husband, father and son.

Son of the late Wilma J. Anthony, Doug is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Angela Anthony; his beloved children, Steven and Cassandra; his father and stepmother, Charles and Ricka Anthony; his brother and sister-in-law, Russell and Wendy Anthony; his niece, Reese; his in-laws, Nicholas and Georgia Doukas; sisters-in-law, Alexis Doukas, Eva Seltzer; nephews, Ethan and Gavin; Aunts, Uncles, cousins as well as many other family and close friends.

A funeral service will be held 11am on Friday, August 5th at the Allentown Presbyterian Church, 20 High St., Allentown. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may call Thursday evening from 5-9pm at the Peppler Funeral Home, Allentown. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Steven and Cassandra Anthony Trust, c/o Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St. Allentown, NJ 08501.
