Carl's father is Phillip Dorweiler (1831-1915). Phillip married Anna Kann in 1861. After her death, Phillip remarried in 1893.
Carl was born at the old homestead in Garfield Township.
He managed a hardware store in Rodman, then moved to LuVerne, MN and worked for the Dawleigh firm. Later he purchased a truck farm near Crivitz, WI where he remained until his health failed in 1940. He then moved to town. His last 3 years were spent in a nursing home in Marinette where he passed away.
