Annette R. Bowers, 60, 308 West I Street, Elizabethton, TN lost her battle with leukemia Tuesday, August 24, 2004. A native of Carter County, TN she was the daughter of Grayton Blevins Riggs, Elizabethton, TN and the late Harry Riggs. She was a former Assistant Vice-President of Leader Federal Bank in Johnson City, TN and a past president of the Elizabethton Junior Women's Club. She was a member of First Christian Church of Elizabethton. Survivors in addition to her mother include a son and daughter-in-law, Scott Donovan Bowers and Monica Bowers, Kissimmee, FL; a sister, Elaine Martin, Johnson City, TN; a brother, Warren Riggs, Kingsport, TN and two grandchildren, Taylor Bowers and Scott Donovan Bowers II. Several nieces and nephews and a special friend, Bradley Teague also survive. Funeral service for Annette R. Bowers will be conducted at 8:00 P.M. Friday, August 27, 2004 in the Sunset Chapel of Hathaway-Percy Funeral Home with Mr. Don Marshall, minister officiating. Graveside service and interment will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, August 28, 2004 in Happy Valley Memorial Park with Mr. Curtis Booher, minister officiating. Active pallbearers will be Charlie Martin, Warren Riggs, Jerry Pelphrey, Warren Udelson, Jerry Udelson and Dana Riggs. Honorary pallbearers will be Bradley Teague and Dean Martin
