SANDERSON, OTTIS ELESE JOHNSON, age 87, of Gardendale died February 11, 2003. She was a member of Gardendale-Mt. Vernon United Methodist Church. Teacher and Principal with Jefferson County Board of Education for 40 years. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, February 13, at 11 a.m. at Gardendale-Mt. Vernon United Methodist Church with burial in Oakwood Cemetery. Rev. Rudy Guess and Rev. Henry Segars officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Gardendale-Mt. Vernon United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow W. Sanderson. Survivors: sons, Mac (Brenda) Sanderson of Gardendale and Woody (Cathy) Sanderson of Macon, GA; daughter, Judy (Frank) Malone of Gardendale; grandchildren, Kristi Spann, Misti Boackle (Louis), Kelli Wyatt (Shannon), Carrie Moore (David), Mark David Malone (Jennifer), Stephanie Thompson (Lyle), Melanie Sanderson, and Joshua Sanderson (Jennifer); great grandchildren, Kayla and Kelsi Spann; Mac, Josi, and Russell Boackle; Alexandra Ann Malone; Sara and Matthew Thompson; many loving nieces and nephews.
