Sabra Gaye Bracknell Glasscox, age 76 of Center Point, AL was born in Oneonta, AL on May 8, 1941 and passed away on Sunday, April 8, 2018 with her family by her side. She was a wonderful and loving wife, mother, and grandmother who was very much loved and will be greatly missed. She worked for Pizitz’s Department Store in Roebuck and later retired after it became McRae’s. Sabra was a member of Gardendale Mt. Vernon United Methodist Church. For years she loved to judge local gymnastics competitions. Sabra enjoyed all University of Alabama sports, especially gymnastics, Yankee baseball, cross-word puzzles, and animals. But most of all she loved being Gan Gan and spoiling her grandchildren silly keeping her freezer full of ice cream at all times. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Mikey Henderson; parents, O.A. and Flora Bracknell; and two brothers, Gerald “Cooter” Bracknell and William “Jack” Bracknell. Sabra is survived by her husband of 54 years, Paul Glasscox; three daughters, Kelli Partridge (Jacky), Kathi Glasscox, and Kristi Henderson (Michael); a sister, Carolyn Allen; and brother, Gary Wayne Bracknell (Brenda); her beloved grandchildren, Casey Partridge (Alyssa), Kassidy McGrath, Ryan Partridge, Gage McGrath, Taylor Henderson, Asher Jase Henderson, and Benatar “Bennie” Glasscox; several cousins, nieces, nephews, and many friends. A visitation will be held on Wednesday evening, April 11th at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel from 5 until 8 PM followed by chapel services on Thursday at 11 AM. Interment will be in Oakwood Memorial Gardens in Gardendale, Al.
