Born April 1, 1932 in Littlestown, she was the daughter of the late Edwin L. and Grace I Halter Harget. Evie was a 1950 Littlestown High School graduate. She worked at the Littlestown National Bank and Community National Bank in Littlestown, retiring in 1992 after 42 years of service.
She is survived by her daughter, Denise L. Pittman and husband David of Littlestown; grandchildren Michael and Jenny Pittman; and great grandchildren, twins Charlotte and Nora Pittman, Jensen Regal and her beloved grand puppy Otto.
Evelyn was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church Littlestown where she sang on the choir and was an assistant pianist and organist. She was a life member of Alpha Fire Company where she was past EMS captain and auxillary president. Member of Adams County EMS, an EMT for over 30 years and volunteerd for the Red Cross at Wellspan Gettysburg. She was awarded the EMS Distinguised Service and EHSF Star Life Award.
There will be no viewing however the family will receive friends Saturday, July 28 from 10 to 11 a.m. at her church followed by a Memorial Service at 11 a.m. with Pastor Rebecca Ajer Frantz officiating. Inurnment will be in St. John’s Cemetery.
