Barbara Hancock, known to her family as Aunt Bunny and the matriarch or the family, passed away on July 30, 2018 at the age of 101. She was like a mother and grandmother to man, and she will be missed forever. She was proceeded in death by her mother, Ada Jane Hancock, and her sisters Virginia Post and Betsy Schuhmann. She leaves behind her nieces Martha Shuh, Andrea Bagoon, and Alice (Paul) Bishop; her grandnieces and grandnephews Erika (Kurt) Buhring, Aimee (Kevin) Nelson, Sam (Kim) Bagoon, Todd (Pam) Bishop, and many great-grand nieces and nephews. She was in education for many years and was a devoted P.O.E. sister. She will be cremated, and her cremated remains will be interred at East Lawn Cemetery in Sacramento, California at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations can be made in her name to the Wolfe Wildlife Fund.
