Born in Barberton, she was a graduate of Barberton High School and Kent State University. A resident of Mentor for 23 years, she retired after 36 years of teaching at Wickliffe Public Schools.
Surviving are husband, Robert; daughters, Suzanne Addis-Biaz of California, Jane Addis of Cleveland Heights; grandchildren, Max Robert and Sarah; sister, Virginia Pollock of Fallbrook, Calif.; and brother, Glenn E. Schembechler of Ann Arbor, Mich.
