CHRISTOPHER MICHAEL BLOZEN, 10, of Forked River, LACEY, passed away Thursday, May 17, at home, surrounded by his family, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born at Community Medical Center, Toms River, Christopher was a student at Lanoka Harbor Elementary School, where he was a member of the school's Chess Club and the Gifted and Talented Program. He was an avid Mets fan and was a member of St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church, Forked River.
Christopher was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Michael Blozen; and his maternal grandmother, Catherine Banks. Surviving are his parents, Frank James and Barbara Beth Blozen of Forked River; a sister, Brittany Blozen; a brother, Andrew Blozen; his paternal grandmother, Maryann Blozen of Forked River; and his maternal grandfather, Frank Banks of Ellenton, Fla.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today and Sunday at the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, O'Connell Chapel, 706 Highway 9, Bayville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 9 a.m. Monday at St. Pius X, 300 Lacey Road, Forked River. Burial to follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Toms River.
