Robert Zane "Butch" Bevers was the son of Albert Sidney Bevers and Allie Cleo Loor of Lakeview, Hall Co., Texas. He married Alice Pauline Vallance 16 February 1940 in Hall County, Texs. They were the parents of three children. Robert served in the U.S. Army in the South Pacific during WWII. After returning from the war he worked as a butcher at the Vallance Food Stores in Memphis, Hall Co., Texas. After leaving the grocery business he and Pauline moved to the Midland, Lubbock Texas area and went into the retail business selling Wear Ever Cooking utinsils. They worked as a team and were very successful at it. After the divorce of Robert and Pauline he married Loveta Mae Lambert and moved to Cisco, Eastland County, Texas. He died as a result of cancer.
