She married James Macauley, which later ended in divorce.
She married Richard Diagostino on 7/11/1980 at the Congregational Church in Massena. Mary Ellen was a Homemaker for the majority of her life and enjoyed her dogs, Heidi and Snoopy, as well as going on walks and shopping. She also liked to camp at Cranberry Lake and go to the Ocean. Spending time with family and meeting up with friends for coffee everyday were the things that meant the most to her. All of her family knew her as the “Christmas Queen” as she enjoyed gifting to her family and friends.
She was survived by a son, Michael (Wanda) Macauley; step children, Frank (Patty) Diagostino, Jill (Paul) Murphy and Jack (Maryann) Diagostino; 11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren
She was predeceased by her husband on 4/20/2013 and a brother, Eugene Reynolds.
