Rufus Hull Bennington, 79, of Rockbridge Baths, Virginia died Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at Heritage Hall in Lexington, Virginia. Rufus was born on August 8, 1938 in Rockbridge County, he was a son of the late Lafayette Bennington and the late Sissie Virginia Hostetter Bennington.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by 3 Sisters; Rowena Higgins, Margaret Ayers, and Mae Orange, 2 Brothers; John Bennington and Harry Bennington, 2 Half-Brothers; Jesse Bennington and Olden Bennington, and a step-daughter, Wanda Gail Foster.
Surviving are his wife, Virginia Bennington; children, Randall Wentworth, Wayne Wentworth and Katie Wentworth; step-children, Thomas Hostetter, Carolyn Lilly and Gary Hostetter; brother, Charles Bennington; and seven grandchildren.
There will be no funeral service at this time.
