January's Obituary

After 26 years on Earth, January Bonar-Bridges died peacefully on Monday October 29 at her home in Walton, KY. January brought joy to everyone who met her, and defied odds her entire life. She always had a smile on her face, but she especially enjoyed time with her family, fresh-cut flowers, and cartoon dogs.

Her visitation will be Thursday, November 1 from 4pm to 9pm at First Baptist Church, 47 S. Main St., Walton, KY. The funeral will be held at the same location at 11am on Friday, November 2. A short visitation will proceed the funeral, starting at 10am.

January is survived by her mother Jayme Bonar-Bridges (Bruce Gerbl) and father Jim Bridges (Ann), two brothers James (Lauren) and Justin (Megan), her uncle John Bonar (Barbara), and devoted nurses and caregivers including Bev, Mary, Shannon, Cassie, Nicole, Lisa, Jeanne, Niki, Debbie, Patsy, Marcia, and Jacki, along with all the staff and doctors at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center and Primary Pediatric.
She joins two aunts and four grandparents, who proceeded her in death.
Condolences may be sent to the January Bonar-Bridges Endowment Fund, c/o Cincinnati Children's Department of Development, MLC 9002, 3333 Burnet Ave., Cincinnati Ohio, 45229. The fund assists parents of children in the GI department at Children's Hospital who have had long stays. Once a year on January's birthday, the fund also gives every child on the GI and TCU floors balloons in her memory.
