Doris Finley

OTTUMWA – Doris Marie Finley, 67, of 702 Wabash, died at 7:13 a.m., Sept. 17, 2003, at Ottumwa Regional Health Center.

She was born Nov. 17, 1935, in Quincy, Ill., to Arthur and Eva Berkenbile Lummer. She married Emmett Finley, Nov. 26, 1955. He preceded her in death June I, 1987. She formerly was employed at Ridgewood Care Center and the Good Samaritan Center in Ottumwa.

Survivors include three sons, Carol, Jeff and Emmett Jr., all of Ottumwa; six grandchildren, Weston McKee of Bloomfield, Dustin Finley (in the Navy) in Naples, Italy, Adam Finley, Weston Dudley, Anthony Finley, and Nathan Finley, all of Ottumwa; one great-granddaughter. Shady Finley of Ottumwa; two brothers, Ralph Lummer of Campoint, Ill., and Loren Jay Lummer of Quincy, Ill.; and three sisters, Janet Plowman, Lois Bryan and Frances Meyers, all of Quincy, Ill,; and nieces and nephews of Quincy, Ill.

She was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents; her husband; three children, Pamela Sue McKee, Kevin Lee Finley, Eileen Ann Finley; a sister, Catherine Bence of Quincy, Ill.; and a brother, Arthur Lummer of Quincy, Ill.; and four nephews.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Shaul Cemetery, with Daniel H. McKee officiating. Visitation will begin 9 a.m. today at Robertson-Jay Funeral Home, with the family present from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

Memorials have been established to the family.
