On July 2, 1805, he was apprenticed to his father in The Drapers' Company for seven years. On January 23, 1812, he obtained his freedom in the Drapers' Company by patrimony on the testimony of his father and Thomas Robert Wrench. From 1818 until 1859, he was a member of the Livery. On July 11, 1832, along with his brother Edward Wrench and Henry Wrench, he leased a coach-house, stables, and loft at the west corner of Miles's Lane, Upper Thames Street, London, England. He wrote and published "Single Sermons 1825-1859" (London: 1860).
