He had a varied working career that began by helping his parents on their family farm. Later he worked for the Town of Newbury Highway Department for over 15 years and then began working for Blackmount Equipment as their equipment delivery driver before retiring in 2017.
Sonny was a member of the The Northeast Two-Cylinder Club.
He repaired, restored, and owned antique John Deere Tractors.
Survivors include his wife Jacqueline of Newbury, VT; two children, Chris Bailey of St. Albans, VT; and Nicole Cooke of Fletcher, VT; three grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his parents, Horace E. Bailey and Josephine Bailey.
