Raymond Leon Wiseman, 59, of Ottumwa died at 12:18 p.m. April 13, 2019 at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

He was born August 12, 1959 in Ottumwa to Kenneth Leon and Dorothy A. Hiatt Wiseman. He married Sherry Wilkins and they later divorced. He married Barbie Ferrell.

A resident of Ottumwa most of his life, he worked construction, at Clow Foundry in Oskaloosa and for Max Wilkins. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Surviving is a son, Raymond William Wiseman (Angel Smith) of Ottumwa; 3 step-children, Michael (Brittany) Rhodes, Ashley Fuentes and Cody Rhodes; 8 grandchildren, Rycelyn, Raiden, Saphira, Hunter, Sadie, Preston, Bentley and Tito; 4 brothers, Kenny (Susie), Gary, Larry, and Richard Wiseman all of Ottumwa; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Diane Steele.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at First Church of the Open Bible with Pastor Mark Hornback officiating. Cremation will follow the services.

Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Reece Funeral Home with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.

Memorials may be made to the family.
