Black: Died, June 22, Aaron M. Black, aged 58 years. Deceased was born in Wood county, Ohio, May 9, 1842. In '55 he removed to South Bend, Indiana, entering the army as a musician, 35th Indiana Volunteers, serving two years. He entered the marble business in Michigan after his army service, coming to Kansas and El Dorado in 1885. For many years he was a member of the Wallace G.A.R. of El Dorado and at the time of his death was post commander. He leaves a wife, a daughter, Mrs. Carrie Pennick of Wichita, and a son, Harry, now of Co. D. 6th light artillery and is now in the Phillipines - these mourn the death of a kind husband and father. John W. Black of this city is a brother of the deceased. The funeral occurs at 3 p.m. tomorrow, conducted by Rev. C.H. Wharton, himself a soldier comrade of the deceased, at the G.A.R. Hall. The post will meet at the late home of the deceased at 2 p.m. and escort the body to the hall. Mr. Black will be buried by the side of a daughter, in Belle Vista Cemetery.
