April 28, 1939 ~ May 5, 2019 (age 80)
Peter J Peterson, age 80, passed away Sunday, May 5, 2019 due to complications from Parkinson's
Disease. He was born April 28, 1939 in Park Falls, WI son of Orville and Ruth (Batzer) Peterson.
Peter graduated from Phillips High School in 1957 and UW-Madison in 1961. He immediately started work as
an engineer at Marathon/American Can, staying with the company until his retirement in 2004. Peter was known for his ability and
willingness to "MacGyver" anything. He served St. Paul Lutheran Church in many ways.
Peter is survived by his wife of 47 years, Janice Peterson; children: Jennifer (Paul) Kalbus, Jeffrey
(Jeanie) Peterson; siblings: Karen Baumgartner, James (Carole) Peterson,
Larry (DeEtta) Peterson, Michael ( Mary) Peterson, Nadine Peterson; and
numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. We wish to acknowledge his friendship
with Larry Olski. Peter was preceded in death by his parents, mother and father-in-law Neal and Barbara
Downs, and brother-in-law John Baumgartner.

The celebration of life ceremony will be held on Sunday May 19, 2019 at 1:30 p.m. at Kessler Funeral
Home, 304 S Commercial Street, Neenah with Pastor Sandra Crase officiating. Visitation will be held at the
funeral home on Sunday from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the service. Inurnment will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park at a later date
