Raymond Funk

Green Bay - Raymond "John" Funk, 86, Green Bay, passed away on Sunday, April 8, 2018. The son of the late George and Theresa (Rentmeester) Funk was born on May 21, 1931 in Shawano, WI.

On July 24, 1953 John married the former Patricia Ferrington at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Green Bay.

John was a supervisor at Diana Manufacturing where he worked for 36 years. He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, where he proudly served as an usher for 42 years and was elected as president of the St. Pat's Men's Club twice. He was also the assistant coach for the St. Pat's little league team.

In his younger years, John enjoyed playing football, basketball, and baseball. He was also a bit of a gym rat. More recently, he enjoyed golfing with his friends, Ron, Bob, and Ron, as well as meeting with his Diana Manufacturing group for breakfast every last Wednesday of the month. John loved to go for a ride with his dog, Tator, to get hamburgers. He also relished time spent at deer camp, where he was known as the "Great White Hunter".

John is survived by his wife, Pat; children, Vicki (John) Wojciechowski, Sobieski, LouAnn (Len) Savage, Green Bay, Alan (Kathy) Funk, Green Bay, Tammy (special friend, Brian) Rahmlow, Green Bay, Jim (Tammi) Funk, Green Bay, John (Amanda) Funk, Indian Land, SC, Curt (Brenda) Funk, Waterford, WI; 14 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; a sister, Clarice Janke, Utah; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers and sisters; as well as brother-in-law and sisters-in-law.

Friends may call at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 211 N. Maple on Friday, April 13 from 12-2 pm. The Mass of Resurrection will be held at 2 pm, Rev. Michael Thiel officiating.
