Gary Leroy Cabbagestalk, 58, died comfortably at home Dec. 8, 2011 after a prolonged battle with liver disease.
Born in Bronx, N.Y., he was a resident of Polk County for 30 years. He was an Air Force veteran, and a registered nurse. He graduated from the University of Phoenix with a BA in Nursing. He was a member of First Baptist Church at the Mall.
Mr. Cabbagestalk is survived by his wife Cynthia Cabbagestalk of Lakeland; two daughters: Ashley and Kelsey Cabbagestalk; and sister Linda Harrison of Phoenix, AZ.
Memorial services will be announced in late January.
