Funeral services were held Friday morning in the Bedle Funeral Home, Keyport, for Benjamin Walling Sr., 82 of 1397 Route 36, Hazlet, who died July, 29, 1969 in his home.
The Reverend Norman R. Riley, pastor of St. John's Untied Methodist Church, Hazlet, officiated.
Burial was in Green Grove Cemetery, Keyport.
A lifelong resident of Hazlet, Mr. Walling retired in 1958 after 30 years as a mechanic with Dugan Brothers Bakery.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Charlotte (Lambertson) Walling; a son, Benjamin Walling Jr. Spring Lake Heights; three daughters, Mrs. Florence Eberhardt, Woodbridge, Mrs. Garrett T. Midgett, Asbury Park, and Mrs Frank Lashek, Farmingdale; eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
