A lifelong resident of Hazlet, Mr. Walling retired in 1958 after 30 years as a mechanic with Dugan Brothers Bakery.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Charlotte (Lambertson) Walling; a son, Benjamin Walling Jr. Spring Lake Heights; three daughters, Mrs. Florence Eberhardt, Woodbridge, Mrs. Garrett T. Midgett, Asbury Park, and Mrs Frank Lashek, Farmingdale; eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
