She was born in Ware County and had lived most of her life there. She was a former service station attendant and caretaker for the elderly. She attended The Refinery.
Mrs. Edge was a daughter of the late Dempsey Leroy Mercer, Sr. and Reavis Geneva Lee Mercer. She was married to the late Benjamin Hilt Edge and also preceded in death by a son, Robert Lee Reeves, Jr.; two sisters, Carolyn Mercer and Betty Ann Bass; and two brothers, Bobby Lynn Mercer and Kenny Mercer.
She is survived by four children, Donnie Reeves of Waycross, Sonny Reeves of Waycross, Darlene Cormier of Blackshear, and Kenny Kitchens of Lebanon, OH; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; a brother, Rev. D.L. Mercer of Waycross; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorialization will be by cremation.
