DELISLE, EDWARD J. of Midland, formerly Bay City Edward J. DeLisle "Mr. Ed", age 87 years, died unexpectedly, Saturday, October 5, 2019 at Mid-Michigan Medical Center. He was born on August 8, 1932 to the late Albert and Anna (Ligney) DeLisle in Bay City. Ed graduated from St. Joseph High School, Class of 1950 and served proudly in the US Navy aboard the USS St. Paul during the Korean Conflict. He attended Immanuel Lutheran for many years. Ed retired from General Motors and returned to work and retired from PTIQCS Corporation. He enjoyed dancing with his bride and singing, he was the DJ of the family. Ed was married to the former Marian "Mary" Blair for 37 years before her death in 2018. Surviving Ed are his son, David (Donna) DeLisle; grandchildren: Jennifer (Tim) Mast and Gregory (Celeste) DeLisle; great-grandchildren: Trevor, Emma and Lucille Mast; Jayvin, Braelynn, Bryssa and Gentry DeLisle; step-grandchildren: Rich Radcliffe and Jamie Radcliffe; step-great-grandchildren: Jaiden, Braxton and Easton Radcliffe; Mason Keelan; Mary's sons: Andrew (Carla) Gibelyou, Kevin Gibelyou, and Joseph C. Smith (Don) and their children and grandchildren; 2 brothers: Thomas DeLisle and LeRoy (Margie) DeLisle; several nieces and nephews. Ed was preceded in death by his wife Mary; son, Michael; brother, Gerald DeLisle; 2 sisters: Beverly Darnell and Carin Miller. Visitation with Ed's family will be held Tuesday, October 8, 2019 from 3:00 to 8:00 pm and Wednesday, 11:00 am until the time of the service at the W. A. Trahan Funeral Chapel, 256 N. Madison Ave., Bay City. Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, October 9, 2019 at 1:00 pm at the Trahan Chapel with Reverend Joseph Atchinson officiating. Rite of Committal will follow at Floral Gardens Cemetery followed by Military Honors by the U.S. Navy and Bay County Veterans Council.
