Fort Kent - Ernestine (Gagnon) Charette, 90, beloved wife of the late Leonel Charette, died March 4, 1999 at a Fort Kent nursing home. She was born in Wallagrass, the daughter of Joseph and Edith (Michaud) Gagnon. She will be dearly missed by hr family and friends. Ernestine was a life member of the Ladies of St. Anne of Fort Kent. She is survived by two daughters, Jackie Bouchard of Waterville & Phyllis Charette of Fort Kent; five sons, Richard of Plainwell, Mich., James of Westfield, Mass., Bernard, Clarence, & Gerald all of Fort Kent; 20 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband in 1987; eight brothers and three sisters. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Monday at the St Louis Catholic Church, Fort Kent with the Rev. James Plourde officiating.
