Catherine A. Brauer, 70, of Surf City, NJ, formerly of West Windsor Township, NJ, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, September 13, 2016, at Southern Ocean Medical Center, Manahawkin, NJ of natural causes.
Born in Manhattan, NY, she graduated from Fordham University in Bronx, NY. Her 45-year working career began when she was recruited out of college by the National Security Agency (NSA). She retired in 2012 as the Chief Information Officer of Prudential Financial in Newark, NJ. Catherine was proud of her many life accomplishments. She had a perfect score on the SAT's, was in the first class of women admitted to Fordham University and became CIO at Prudential. She mentored many and was loved by all.
In her leisure time, she was an accomplished artist who loved to paint as well as cook.
Catherine will be buried in Princeton Cemetery, Princeton, NJ with her beloved husband, of 40 years, Lawrence H. Brauer who died in 2011.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 20, 2016, at 10AM at St. David the King RC Church, 1 New Village Rd, Princeton Junction, NJ 08550. Burial will be with her husband in Princeton Cemetery.
