Bro. Harold served in the ministry for 57 years, preaching at numerous churches in East Texas. He also served in the United States Navy.
He is survived by his son, Dana Wynne Amerson of Dallas, son & daughter-in-law, Timothy & Brenda Amerson of Mt. Pleasant, son & daughter-in-law, Michael & Cynthia Amerson of Mt. Pleasant, daughter, Angela Amerson Houser of Dallas; grandchildren, Timothy Amerson of Bloomfield, MI, Cory Amerson of Mt. Pleasant, Amber & Danny Holderness of Mt. Pleasant, Tiffany & Kyle Robertson of Royce City, Megan & Lucas Brown of Houston, Christopher & Morgan Amerson of Fort Worth, TX & Blake Chinn of Bedford; great grandchildren, Logan, Lankston, Harper, Ezra, Caden, Everly, Kinley Denise, Bellamy, Nolan, Claire & Charlotte; brother & sister-in-law, Rex & Jerry Amerson of Mt. Pleasant, TX.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Amerson; parents; brother, Doyle Amerson; sister, Audrey Altum.
A visitation will be held from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM Sunday, July 5, 2020 at the Bates Cooper Sloan Funeral Home. Services will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, July 6, 2020 at the Bates Cooper Sloan Chapel with interment to follow at Concord Cemetery.
