Dr. Lindstrom was born in Los Angeles, California in July 1946 to John and Viola Hendry. She graduated from Banning High School in 1964. She earned her B.A. from California State University, Long Beach, M.A. in Educational Administration from United States International University, and Ed.D. from Teachers College, Columbia University in New York City. Dr. Lindstrom was a teacher, principal, and Assistant Superintendent for Educational Services in Evergreen School District.
In 2001, she joined the faculty of San Jose State University as an associate professor of Educational Leadership. She co-authored, The Principal as Professional Development Leader, with Marsha Speck that was published by Corwin Press in spring 2004.
She leaves behind her cherished husband of thirty-two years, Dr. Robert Lindstrom; daughter Carolyn Lindstrom; son-in-law, Andrew Bradvica; grandsons, Robert and Thomas; and sisters, Carole Johnson and Joan Lucero.
They invite all of her family, friends, colleagues and students to a celebration of Dr. Lindstrom's life and accomplishments. It will be held at Morris Dailey Auditorium at San Jose State University on Sunday, May 22 at 1 p.m.
