He was predeceased by his brother, Kent Samsel. He was survived by his wife, Lannette May Shortt Samsel; a son and his spouse; a daughter and her spouse; grandchildren; his parents, Bob Samsel and Jean Samsel; and his sister.
Interment on October 5, 2007.
