Miss Nancy Harris, Versailles, died Tuesday December 13, 1994 at her residence. Born March 24, 1923, in Washington, DC, she was the daughter of the late Lt. General Field Harris and Katherine Chinn Harris, formerly of Harrodsburg. She was a graduate of George Washington University, Washington, and had attended Stephens College in Columbia, MO. She was a retired employee of the U. S. Attorney's office, Lexington and the State Department in Washington, DC. She was a member of the Pisgah Presbyterian Church, the Marquis Calmes Chapter, DAR, the Colonial Dames of America and was a former member of the Woodford County Library Board of Directors. She is survived by an aunt, Ruth Chinn, who is 97 years old and for whom she was caring. Several relatives in Harrodsburg and Mercer County also survive her. She was preceded in death by a brother, Lt. Col. William F. Harris. Funeral services, followed by interment, were held at the graveside, 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 17, at Pisgah Church Cemetery. Blackburn and Ward Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Memorials are suggested to the Pisgah Presbyterian Church or the Woodford County Library.
