Dorothy Sue Abbe, 87, of Lorena, passed away Oct. 10, 2007, at a local hospital. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, at Crossroads Fellowship, with the Rev. Steve Abbe, the Rev. Cyndi Abbe and the Rev. R. L. Whitworth officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Pecan Grove Funeral Home.

Dorothy was born in Fort Worth, Texas, to the late Clark and Ida (Monger) Wilson. She graduated from Mansfield High School in 1930 and was Women's State Tennis Champion. She retired from L.L. Sams Church Furniture Co., after 30 years of service. She was considered the "lifeline" of L.L. Sams and kept the group together after the company's closing. Dorothy was a member of Crossroads Fellowship Church and was an active member in the Lorena and Walter Baldwin Chapters of the Order Of The Eastern Star. Dorothy was a loving and giving person to all. She never met anyone that she didn't love and care for. She loved us all "The Most."

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Abbe on April 15, 1982; son, Dennis Abbe; grandson, Shawn Abbe; granddaughter, Diana Lynn Abbe; and sisters, Margarite McAvoy, Ruth Lane and Kitty York.

Survivors include sons, David Abbe and wife, Roxy, of Bryan, Dewey Abbe, of Waco and daughter-in-law, Darlene Abbe of Waco, Don Abbe and wife, Glenda, of Raleigh, N.C., Deryl Abbe and wife, Kay, of Crawford, and Dann Abbe and wife, Kay, of Robinson; brothers, Tom Wilson, Robert Wilson and John Wilson, all of Indiana; sister, Lillian Harlan, of Lorena; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Raymond and Billie Parker, of Big Spring; 21 grandchildren; 59 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
