Funeral services for Clyde Michael Parker, 93, of Houston, Texas, will be held Saturday, January 30, 2021 at 2:30 p.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Onalaska, Texas with Dr. Fred Alford officiating. Military Honors will be provided by the VFW Post #8568. Interment will follow in the Chita Cemetery in the Chita Community in Trinity County, Texas. Visitation will be held from 1:30 p.m. until the service begins at 2:30 p.m. in the funeral home.

Mr. Clyde Michael Parker was born January 17, 1928 in Chita Community, Trinity County, Texas, to parents, James Moody Parker and Manilla (Dodd) Parker, and passed away January 24, 2021 at the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center in Houston, Texas. Clyde was of the Baptist faith. During his life, he served the country in the US Army. He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Thelma Ima Wooley, Helen Marie Shaver, James Leonard Parker, Mildred Lois Fuchs, Shirley Ann Morgan; nephew, James Parker Coogler; and niece, Melinda Parker.

He is survived by his sisters, Hazel Miriam Fuller and Delia Nellene Coogler; 14 nieces and nephews, numerous great-nieces and great-nephews, and numerous great-great nieces and great-great nephews, along with other relatives and friends.

Serving as pallbearers and honorary pallbearers are his nephews, LeRoy Mitchell, Roland Hartzog, Douglas Wooley, Ronald D. Parker, Randal Fuller, Keith Coogler, Bruce Coogler, Daniel Morgan and Larry Morgan.

The family thanks the kind and caring Inpatient Supportive Care Team, Nursing Unit 4D, at Michael E. Debakey VA Medical Center in Houston for their dedicated service to Clyde.
