James L. Titel, age 84, of Woodville, WI, passed away unexpectedly on September 27, 2019, in the presence of his wife Helen and daughter Terri, at his home in Woodville where he had been a resident for the past 12 years.

James LeRoy Titel was born February 3, 1935 in Clear Lake, WI the son of Ralph and Olga (Ostenson) Titel. He grew up on the family dairy farm in Clear Lake, WI and attended school until the 8th grade, and worked on various farms in the Clear Lake area. In June of 1957, James was married to Marlene Hornstien and together they raised 4 children, Terri, James Jr., Janine & Mark. Over those years, James lived in New Richmond, WI and made a living as a race car driver before he went into trucking. He moved his family to Moundsview, St. Paul and then to Anoka, MN for a short time and spent from August 1969 to January 1970 working at a fruit packaging plant in Escondido, CA. He returned to Wisconsin in 1970 and worked for Oscar Burset in Baldwin, WI , farming, trucking, and hauling cattle. James and Marlene divorced in 1971, He continued to work on the farm until 1975 when he began working for Duro Bag Company in Hudson, WI. James was married to Helen Hornstien in 1977 and moved to Glenwood City, WI. In 2007 they made their home in Woodville, WI. In his spare time, James enjoyed racing, working on lawn mowers and going fishing with Helen, brother in law, Carl, his daughter, Terri, son in law, Loyd and his grandkids. He also enjoyed spending his weekends camping in Siren, WI. James loved helping people and especially loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He will be sorely missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Olga; daughter, Janine Keith;
brothers, Mike, Chuck, Carroll, & Doug Titel; sisters, Grace Solomn, Fran Simon, Murtie Campbell ;
great -grandsons, Jeremy and Adian Lemon; son in law, Loyd Lemon.
