Charlene Marie Bohn, longtime resident of Roseville, died peacefully July 28, 2016 surrounded by the love of her family. She was 80 years of age.
Charlene was born on September 6, 1935 in Grosse Pointe, MIchigan, a delightful daughter of the late Arthur and Gertrude (Schawn) Champine. She was united in marriage to her devoted and loving husband, Elmer "Al" Robert Bohn, on April 18, 1953 in St. Paul Catholic Church of Grosse Pointe Farms. The couple made their home in Roseville and their union was blessed with seven beautiful children of whom she loved and cherished. Charlene's children became the center of her world and she provided a loving and safe home for her family. When the grandchildren came, they became the apple of her eye and she enjoyed every moment she was able to share in their company. Charlene was an avid reader who enjoyed Bingo and Crossword puzzles. She also enjoyed playing cards and was a shark when it came to poker. Above all, she loved spending time with family and loved having them over for parties. Her light will continue to glow in our hearts forever and we will miss her dearly.
Charlene is the beloved wife of Al; dearest mother of Patrick (Cheryl) Bohn, Tonette (Tom) Nicholoy, Allen (the late Patricia) Bohn , Cheryl (Craig) Bosco, Paula Bohn and the late Craig and Joseph Bohn; dear mother-in-law of Melissa Bohn; cherished grandmother of many adored grandchildren, beautiful great grandchildren and one adorable great great grandchild; and sister of Marilyn Bjur, Sharon Marsack and the late Timothy and Patrick Champine.
