Jacob Anthony (Jacobus) Bederka was a son of Josephus and Maria (Vrablicz) Bederka. In 1883, he was baptised Radošovce, Skalica, Slovakia (as per "Slovakia, Church and Synagogue Books, 1592-1910") and then circa 1905 he emigrated to the United States. In 1906, he married Christina Malarik and they had five children: Michael, Mary Frances, Anthony, Alfred, and Louis.

Taken from his obituary: "...He was a retired employe of the Endicott Johnson Corp. after 44 years of service and a member of its 30 Year Club. ...Burial will be in the Spring Forest Cemetery. ... "
